Rec program

Recreational rowing on Burrard Inlet

Our recreational program is for rowers of all ages with novice to advanced rowing experience who are looking to get out on the water in a fun and supportive environment. Each session is led by a coach and safety boat driver to support rowers in improving their technique and skills, while ensuring everyone's safety. Opportunities for more rigorous training and attendance at regattas are possible. 

Program details

Our recreational program offers two options:
  • $750 (year-round)
  • $495 (summer-only)
Costs include fees to Inlet Rowing Club, Rowing Canada, Rowing BC, and the Old Mill Boathouse Society and an Inlet Rowing Club t-shirt.
Program costs will be prorated after July 1.

Guest rowing

If you’re an experienced rower visiting the area, or just want to try out the club, join us for a guest row during one of our scheduled recreational program sessions.

Cost: $30 for a 2-hour session for Rowing Canada members*
To register, email us with information on your rowing experience, current or past rowing club, and which session(s) you’re looking to join. Please contact us at least a few days prior to when you’d like to join us.

*The $30 fee per row is for current members of Rowing Canada only. Insurance for rowers is provided by Rowing Canada. If you’re not a current member of Rowing Canada, you’ll need to register and become a member first. Each new registration costs $55.90 (For Rowing Canada and Rowing BC) and is valid for one year.
